Competition World Mirror

In the Arena, you can fight with or against other players without experience loss. You can also gain points for a title or for a weapon in the Heavenly Emperor's Sword Cup. Finally, you can set up Guild Wars here. The Arena can be accessed via Competition World Mirrors in Eversun City (X:244 Y:199), Darkdale (X:307 Y:246), Collington (X:321 Y:357) and Bigbeam City (X:76 Y:159). Players may also test their damage using the various Whetstone Lions in the area.

While any player may enter the Arena, they must be at least level 30 to participate in matches.

The number of points is based on the team with the fewest participants at the end of the competition.

3 3 1
4 4 1
5 5 2
6+ 6 2

D Matches[]

For D matches the point system depends on the time it takes to defeat all bosses. (depends on team size?) The team to finish first gets an extra point.

  • 6 Points for completion within first 30 minutes
  • 5 Points for within 40 minutes
  • 4 Points for within 50 minutes
  • 3 Points for within 60 minutes

MVP[]

There is a bonus point given to a single player for meeting certain conditions in A, B, and C matches. This player is considered the MVP, or "Most Valuable Player" for the match.

  • In A matches, this is determined by who has the most player kills.
  • In B matches, this is determined by who died the most to Cosmic Cannons. Interestingly, this is called "MPV" instead, and has been more commonly dubbed as "Most Punished Victim" due to the condition of getting it.
  • In C matches, this is determined by who has the most monster kills.

Guides[]

Quick guide for those who are new to arena.[]

So, where is this arena and how can I participate?

Arena How to join

Arena How to Join

In each of the cities you can enter the arena through the Competition World Mirror (1). To join the matches talk to the Competition Host (2) -any of the 3 will do- and select Competition. If there is an open match (4), select the match and click on Join one. You will enter the waiting room. In the waiting room you can use arrow button (5) next to your name to move to the top/bottom team. Note that the minimum level requirement to join any of the matches is level 30.

What is the goal of this arena?
The main goal of arena is to cap points in all the 4 match-types (A, B, C, D) to get the coveted Light Wings and the title God of War. The cap of each match-type: A – 550, B – 500, C – 240, D – 242. Although this might seem like a lot (and believe me it takes some time). You get different titles while gathering points for each type of match. There are 12 titles (sadly the higher one will replace any previous one) and each title also comes with some rewards. You can check the points you have/if you have met requirements for titles at the Fight Attendant (6) at X:125 Y:174. More info about the titles and rewards can be found above.

What to do in these matches?

Arena Matches

Different hosts for arena do things differently, but the most common is alternate winning teams (top/bottom) except for D-matches.
A-matches A. PVP. The goal is to gather 35 points by killing the opponents. The faster this is done, the more matches you can spam. Winning team does the killing, losing team respawns as soon as possible (and removes Travel protection). Points are distributed based on team sizes and the MVP is the person with the most kills. MVPs get 1 extra point.
B-matches B. Cannon destruction. The goal is to destroy the opponents Cosmic Cannon. Points are distributed based on team sizes and the MPV is the person who dies most from the cannons. Don’t use the chests here as it can switch the cannons
C-matches C. Pupu killing. Kill the opponent team pupus to score points. The flag on the scoreboard indicates which team you are on. If you are in the West Army you kill Eastern Pupu and vice versa. Killing your own team pupu will make you lose points. Killing a Chick loses your team -5 points, while killing a Treasure Chestbeater gives your team 5 points. Winner is the team with the most points and MVP is the one with the most kills. Unfortunately these matches are a pain to do as they last 10 minutes A few kills for the winning team are more than enough.
D-matches D. Boss Matches. In these matches BOTH teams must be active and kill 4 rounds of bosses. The next round of bosses doesn’t spawn until both teams have killed the boss for the current round. You can help the opponent team by opening treasure chests that spawn after your team has killed your boss. This however can include you being teleported to the opponent side. These matches are preferably done with at least 5 people on both teams. Winning team only gets 1 extra point.

The Do’s and Don’ts. Some guidelines

  • DO join arena matches. Make some (new) friends. Roast some pupu. Test your PVP skills. If you already capped on your main, you are welcome to join on your alt. All level 30+ bodies needed!
  • DO tell your friends to join these matches.
  • DO stay active during A,B,D matches. Especially during D-matches. And come back within 10 minutes if you AFK for C-matches.
  • DO summon your vanities for B and D-matches.
  • DO join the next match asap.
  • DON’T constantly check your points (basically checking your points at the fight attendant after each round).
  • DON’T constantly switch teams each round. STAY IN 1 TEAM (top/bottom) unless someone who is capped has stated you can switch with them for winning team. On that note, because of the point distribution X for the matches it’s very important to keep the teams even if both teams have <6 players. It will happen that you will be asked to switch teams for a round.
  • DON’T join the matches with multiple characters (this is against the DOMO rules). You can switch to using your alt for matches if you have capped certain matches as long as you only join each match on 1 character.
  • DON’T fret if you can’t unlock a title on an arena day yet, because you lack some points for a match-type. You can gather points for the other types (and you will need to cap the points for each type for the Light Wings anyway).

Speaking of the Light Wings. They are great. They combine with (Celestial) Longma's Wings. Such fast movement.

Setting Up Arena Matches

Arena setup

setting up arena

Talk to the Competition Host > Competition > Create one upper right. You will see the various options A-matches – The PVP matches: These matches are the ones named Death Match, 3 options > Corridor Death Match, Hill Death Match (the field for the B-matches), Bunker Death Match (the field for the C-matches). B-matches – Cannon destruction: There is only 1 option > Cosmic Cannon Battle C-matches – Pupu/doggy wars: 2 options > Reaping Competition (pupu one) and Doggy Wars (dogs, quite aggro) D-matches- Boss Fights: Only 1 option > Friendly Match

In the Battle Settings you can change several settings:

  • Battle name: default = playername’s battletype
  • Minimum and maximum team members: 1-12.
  • Lowest and highest levels: 30-75
  • Duration, points to win, game mode (competition for points).
  • Password: can be numbers/letters. Once you have your match set, you can press Create a battle and you will enter the Waiting room where other players can enter.

You can keep an eye on the teams forming. If the minimum number of members in team is met on both sides, the minimum number will turn white, whereas if the maximum numbers of players in a team is met on both sides, the maximum number will turn red. The host can’t move players from top to bottom, but can remove players with the x-button next to their name. Once the teams are ready >> Start and a 10 second countdown will start, after which the match will start. Quit is for if you made an error with the match setup. Keep in mind that players will have to reenter.

Notes

  • Set minimum team size to avoid teams being heavy on one side. Even teams are needed for optimal point distribution. 6 members on both sides will give maximum points.
  • Passwords don’t save match settings, these will have to be reset for every match.
