Careers Advisor Description

A Dancer is good at attacking and weakening multiple enemies. A Dancer has little defense, but when protected by a team, Dancer can unleash great powers.

Softstar Description

The dancer and musician are opposite occupations. Unlike the musicians who help their peers in power enhancing, the dancers confuse the enemies' mind by their glamorous dances and interfere with the enemies' actions. The one similarity of the dancers and musicians is that the dance performance can't be interrupted and stopped as well, and the dances also encourage their peers.

Qualification

Requirements: 100 gold, 1 Wild Hide, 1 Down

Speak to Busker Biff in Placid Plain (X:295 Y:240). He will ask you to repair some Dilapidated Dancewear for his friend Hannah the Dancer. Go to Granny June the Seamstress at X:168 Y:483 in Placid and ask her to repair the Dancewear.

She will require certain ingredients but will give you the list for 100 gold. When you have the Tailoring Materials List, give her 1 Wild Hide and 1 Down so she can start repairs. After 1 minute, give her the Gown Receipt to collect the Glamorous Gown and return to Busker Biff to receive the qualification.

Fan Dancing

These skills include physical attacks and support skills that drain enemy abilities to increase your own.

Ferocious Fandango Damages nearby enemies with a fan. Lowers their magic defense. Duration is 1/2 against other players.	Fancy Ferocious Fandango Upgraded Ferocious Fandango attack.
Flying Swallow Fandango A fan attack performed in the Flying Swallow stance.	Flying Eagle Fandango Single target attack skill that is stronger than the Flying Swallow Fandango.
Fatiguing Fan Leech attack power from nearby enemies and attack speed for 30 seconds (only 15 seconds vs. players). Does not stack.	Fang Fandango Steals enemy HP to heal own HP while attacking.
Fleecing Fan Leech defense from nearby enemies and recovery for 30 seconds (only 15 seconds vs. players). Does not stack.	Phantom Fang Fandango Steals enemy MP to heal own MP while attacking.
Extractor Fan Attacks the enemy and reduces their bad feeling toward you. When used against players, it may blow their equipment away.	Sandstorm Salsa Creates a sandstorm around the dancer, hiding their team mates and reducing enemies' bad feeling towards them.

Different Dances

These are magical attack moves and support skills that can weaken enemies or strengthen yourself.

Flaming Foxtrot A dance, choreographed to resemble the shape of a flame, that causes elemental fire damage to nearby enemies.	Joan's Jive A dance that calls on the power of the saintly warrior, causing elemental fire damage to a single enemy.
River Rhumba A dance, choreographed to resemble the shape of a river, that causes elemental water damage to nearby enemies.	Stream Spirit Shuffle A dance that calls on the power of the river god, causing elemental water damage to a single enemy.
Soothing Shimmy Dance decreases enemies' attack power and attack speed for 150 seconds (30 seconds vs. players). Works on bosses.	Bestial Boogie Calls upon hidden potential to increase standing HP recovery.
Hypnotic Hoedown Enemy daydreams, decreasing accuracy and dodge rate for 150 seconds (only 30 seconds vs. players). Works on bosses.	Mating Dance Calls upon hidden potential to increase standing MP recovery rate.
Enchanting Cha-Cha Enemy befuddled, decreasing DEF and M. DEF for 150 seconds (only 30 seconds vs. players). Works on bosses.	Trance Dance Decreases the enemy's M.ATK, M.DEF, dodge and accuracy for 150 seconds (only 30 seconds vs. players). Stacks, works on bosses.

Dancing Skills

These skills enable you to equip fans and dancewear whilst in different jobs.

Equip Fan The ability to equip fans.
Equip Dancewear The ability to equip dancer's costumes.
Fan Mastery Allows fans to be used regardless of job at % of their full strength.
Flirting Glances Decreases DEF-ignoring damage taken by %. 1/2 effect for non-Dancer occupations.

A Dancer is perfectly suited to using fans, and relatively competent with musical instruments.

A Dancer is competent using syringes and wands. Other weapons aren't really suitable for this job.
