Ferryman is a Merchant NPC.

Ferrymen will teleport you to another city, at the cost of 1,000 gold for a one-way trip. Before you can teleport, you must have spoken to the Ferryman in the desired destination city - in other words, you cannot have the Eversun City Ferryman teleport you to Darkdale until you speak to the Ferryman in Darkdale.

The Ferryman in the Guild Cottage cannot be used until the guild level is 22. Unlike the other Ferrymen, this one can teleport you to the locations found on a Go-Anywhere, not just major cities.
