- There are English files from the Aeria version that can be applied to the Chinese version (as indicated in the registration guide), but it won't cover everything. The English files will enable you to get around and know about most items, but new and special items along with most storyline/NPC dialogue are exclusive to the Chinese version. An English translation does not exist as it would need to have gone through Aeria/English developers, and there's no way (that I'm aware of) to translate that main scripting file. →SSF (talk) 06:13, November 3, 2012 (UTC)
- To clarify things a bit more, using the Aeria script file translates some common npcs partially (such as marshalls and etc), any cutscene that was translated (main quest, life quests, confusion dance), the text when you use an elder scroll, some event text including the Quiz (答飛所問) questions, and the journal, but it is known to cause journal crashes, which are guaranteed to happen if you have one of the quests that cause the crashes. For new npcs it doesn't have text for, you can't even talk to them. Confusion Dance 4 cutscenes are localized and Confusion Dance 5 cutscenes are half translated (but not localized). The english script also makes it impossible to view the achievements menu, makes the calendar list incorrect events, and the additional title value menu show incorrect values. The level 30 Shaman Life Quest questions are not translated with the script, but I wrote a translation guide for this. Due to the crashing and other issues it's generally recommended to only use the english script file when you really need it. Lanniang (talk) 07:45, November 3, 2012 (UTC)
