An onyx is a stone with special attributes that can be inserted into weapons and armor.

Onyxes can be obtained from:

Unwanted onyxes can be sold to other players or given to the Onyx Buyer in exchange for a Dice Chest.

Slotting equipment[]

To put an onyx inside a piece of equipment, you must first create a hole with a mallet. The levels on the mallet indicate the level of the equipment it can be used for, and the description indicates which slot can be created. There are a total of four possible onyx slots per piece of equipment.

To create an onyx slot for equipment without a slot:

  1. Remove equipment if currently being worn.
  2. Double-click the mallet or go to the Everyday skills window and click the Onyxes button.
  3. Choose your equipment by double-clicking or dragging it to the red box.
  4. Choose your mallet by double-clicking or dragging it to the red box.
  5. Click Start.
    • Mallets can be damaged and fail, so you may need to try again.
  6. To insert the onyx, go to the Onyx window once more and drag the onyx into the white box.
  7. Click Start.

Once an onyx has been inserted into a piece of equipment, it will become untradable. If you want to upgrade a weapon that has an onyx, you will need to remove the onyx first (the slot will remain after the upgrade).

The onyx description says how many times it can be inserted into equipment, so some can be removed. To remove an onyx from equipment:

  1. Remove equipment if currently being worn.
  2. Go to the Everyday skills window and click the Onyxes button.
  3. Double-click the onyx you want to remove.
  4. Click Start.
