Reflect is a status in Dream of Mirror Online. There are two different kinds of reflect: Normal Attack Reflect and Skill Reflect.
Normal Attack Reflect[]
During this type of reflect, the target will still receive damage from auto attacks, but the attacker will also take damage based on a % the normal attack reflect is offering.
For example, a player may take 400 damage from an auto attack, but if they are under the effect of Echo Guard, the attacker will take 200 damage back. Although Echo Guard may state auto attacks rebound for 200% of the damage dealt, it's actually 50% of the damage dealt. Normal attack reflect tends to be capped when used by players, so any potential drastic effects are heavily neutered. Monsters seem to have no cap on their reflections.
Reflected auto attacks can ignore invincibility statuses.
Skills that provide Normal Attack Reflect are:
Team-buff:
Pet
Monsters that can have Normal Attack Reflect are:
- Vermilion Bird Servant Shadow
- Vermilion Bird Servant
- Southern Vermilion
- Any D-match boss empowered by Karate Chicks in Arena
Skill Reflect[]
During this type of reflect, there is a % chance the target will reflect most skills used against it. If the skill inflicts damage, the amount of damage the attacker takes depends on the stats of the target, as if the target used the skill itself. Skill reflection can sometimes negate the skill entirely. All of this may or may not be influenced by Luck in Love.
However, there are several ways to bypass skill reflect.
- Multi-hit skills: The first hit goes through reflect chance, but subsequent hits will not. This includes skills that inflict damage and have an additional effect afterwards, like Extractor Fan.
- AoE skills: unless the attack is a "splash AoE" like Secret Charm of Rolling Thunder, these skills always ignore reflect.
- Magic-piercing: Skills like these will also ignore reflect, such as Purify.
It should also be noted that skill reflection has high animation priority. This means if a player were to reflect many skills at once, they can be stuck trying to move. Skill reflection also counts as using a skill, so there will be a pause between auto attacks when it occurs.
Skills that provide Skill Reflect are:
Self-buff:
Team-buff:
Pet
